In 2012, the Bell Table marked the beginning of the collaboration between Sebastian Herkner and ClassiCon. Within a few years, the design has almost become a classic. Probably also because it fascinates with the unexpected use of materials. Glass, of all things, a material that is intuitively more likely to have properties such as 'filigree' or 'fragile', provides solid support as a coloured, transparent table base. On top of it: a metal body that, despite its weight, appears to float in this way. Even though the two elements form an exciting contrast to one another, at the same time they fit into a harmonious unit that is reminiscent of the elegant swing of a bell.
In 2020 the Bell Table series will have a new addition: the Side and Coffee Table will be joined by the Bell High Table. Thanks to its dimensions, it is perfect as a highlight in the living-dining area or for presenting special objects in lobbies and public areas. What needs to be emphasised is the masterpiece of craftsmanship that makes the production of the largest version of the Bell Table possible in the first place. Because here, too, the foot is still blown into a wooden mould in the traditional way, which is extraordinary in these dimensions. Every single Bell Table is still made by hand and is unique - including typical features such as varying glass thicknesses, smaller bubbles or unevenness.
